The 30-minute AI readiness check

You don't need a consultant to find out where you stand. Block 30 minutes, gather two or three leaders, and answer five questions honestly.

Reviewed by Level Up Automate.
TL;DR
  • Five questions cover policy, tools, training, vendors, and review cadence.

  • Score yourself green / yellow / red. Three or more reds means we should talk.

  • The output is a one-page snapshot you can act on Monday.

The five questions

Ask these in order.

  • Do we have a written AI policy that staff have read in the last 12 months? (Red if no, yellow if old, green if recent.)
  • Can we name every AI tool currently in use in the business? (Red if no, yellow if 'mostly,' green if a current list exists.)
  • Has every employee had a basic AI training session in the last 12 months? (Same scoring.)
  • Have we asked our top AI vendors the 12 due-diligence questions? (Red if no, yellow if some, green if all.)
  • Do we hold a quarterly AI review? (Red if no, yellow if irregular, green if scheduled and held.)

What to do with the score

Three or more reds means the basics aren't in place — that's a 30-day project. Three or more yellows is a 'stitch the gaps' job over a quarter. All-green means you should be helping your peers.

Can we just take the online quiz instead?
Yes — see [AI Readiness Assessment](/tools/ai-readiness-assessment). Same questions, automated scoring.
